My husband is extremely dominated and manupulated by my 2 sis in law, as per por culture, when we got married?

Richa asked:

and visited my sis in law, we gave her, her son, her husband gold jewellary as per our custom, and we have been showring them with all sorts of presents, esp my youngest sis in law, who is married but is unemployed and so my husband gifts her lavishly,I am very well educated still, I bought presents for both sil a lot x 4 years we have been married. Now when I had a daughter, guess what my eldest si in law..who is “RICH” gives my swarovski euphoria gold plated pendant, and cant stop mentioning that its gold and diamonds..now here I loose my pateince…common..swarovski..?? for my daughter, I never asked anything to them so far, was always only giving.when I mentioned it to my mother in law and my father in law, thatt is swarovsi and not gold or diamond, my sis in law stpped talkig to me, my daughter is now 10 mth old, hey THEY TALK WITH MY HUSBAND but not me..common guys..am I so wrong and bad…this thing is eating me coz my husband is still saying diamond and gold…common I googled everywehere…euphoria is gold plated and has crystals..its not a ,matter of gift, but about being wrong vs right… help me out friends…
how am I wrong, if my eldest sister who is supposedly very rich and , whose husband expets gold eveytime my father in law visits his father, yes( I am against it but that how indian culture is, male chauvanist), now gives us swarovski. I didnt mention any thing about my younger sis in law, coz she was unemployed, and gave only 10 $ gift, but I was fine with her, I understood.

What a crazy culture. I’m guessing you are from the Mideast or India.

maybe your husbands sister doesn’t know anything about euphoria or swarovski and purchased it assuming it was gold and diamonds and just thought it looked pretty and meant well. i think you are being very selfish and materialistic, have you ever heard the phrase “it’s the thought that counts”? there is no wrong vs right about the materials used to make the jewellery, but your manners are wrong for sure. you should apologise.
