Well, if it’s a nice expensive, quality ring, which it probably is, i wouldn’t go experimenting on it. Take it to a jewler and see what they say, if you don’t want to ruin it, have them clean it, or just simply get tips on how to clean it. There is also certain jewlery cleaners that you can buy at a local store.
yes.. get a old toothbrush.. and put toothpaste on it.. and scurb it.. when you did all of it.. be sure to wash all the toothpaste off.. dry and it should be good as new
yes toothpaste works well. a tsbp of white vinegar, half cup of water gives brilliant shine on the jewellry. thru my experience.
well firstly get yourself a polishing cloth. Using that is very effective. You could use a tootbrush and clean it softly under running water. Every 6 months give it to a proffesional jeweler to have it cleaned and polished. Due to body oil the jewelry needs a good scrubbing after every 6 months.
What really works is stick the ring in a cotton sock, tie off the end so the ring doesn’t come off.. and stick it in the washing machine. I do this with most of my girl friends jewelry and they come out SUPER shinny.
Your boyfriend must really love you to get you a white gold promise ring!!
PS/ Just don’t put bleach in the washing machine!

I would buy a polishing cloth first before I would try toothpaste on a quality ring
