Why did you let your neighbor use your ring?
If my wife loaned her ring out I would be pissed… and if it cost $15K, I would really be Pissed…

I would say that you both are at fault, you for lending it to her and her for sending her son bring it over….

If you are smart you would have it covered under your homeowners insurance…

If not deal with the lost….

How would you know that THEY lost it. That sucks man. Oh, and if you sent it in the mail, mail people look in the envolopes. You can’t trust them at all.You know, mabye the son took it, look all over his house, if you can’t find it, I would definitely take it to the extremes. I would go and get him x-rayed.

I seriously doubt if your ring is lost, pal. Call the cops. That’s grand theft.

Why would you sue someone for own irresponsibility?

Sue your neighbor if you have evidence to support the complaint.
