Diamonds in jewelry, I should think - the maker pays $50 for a plain setting, and can now sell a finished product instead of the raw parts.
As a consumer, personally, I know I’d pay more for someone else to do the work and give me a finished product, unless I wanted a very particular design and was willing to go through the extra hassle of finding a designer.
diamonds in jewelry. Loose diamonds are a more specialized industry and it takes alot of knowledge in this area to make money. Everyday joe doesn’t know grades and clarity of diamonds like a store or cutter would. Yes the money you would make in the long run is worth the extra knowldge but it takes years to learn the diamond industry. Not to mention the diamond industry is pretty cutthroat whereas jewelry is easier to sell.
