It should be a minimal charge from a jeweler…I’d say less than $100. All they really have to do is close the prongs.
Look for a shop that has a jeweler that works on premesis. Some jewelers have to send it off-site to have it done, which might come with an extra charge. I had a diamond set in about an hour.
A sneaky way to check out that jeweler is to call up and say that your diamond fell out of your setting, and you would like to know how much he would charge to fix it. You could also follow through with that–buy the setting from him if you REALLY like it, and go to a third jeweler to have it set for a reasonable cost.
